- 50% embroidered patch is good for simple, text-only designs wherein at least half of the twill backing is visible.
- 75% embroidered patch allows larger, more intricate artwork, and covers more of the twill.
- 100% embroidered patch is ideal for intricate designs and logos wherein the twill is entirely invisible. This also offers the most detail possible on a patch.

The Merrowed border can only apply to regular shapes (circles, ovals, and squares), and is sewed up and over the exterior edges of your patch. Die Cut border is cut to the shape of any complex, custom design. Hot Cut border allows sharp, detailed edges that are perfect for intricate designs. Note: For Die Cut and Hot Cut when Keychain option is selected, the patch will be single sided.

Are screen printed patches cheaper than embroidered ones?
Not always. At the same size and quantity, a simple embroidered patch is often a little cheaper than a printed one. Printing pulls ahead once the artwork has many colors or fine detail, because embroidery gets pricier as designs get complex.

Will the print fade or crack in the wash?
With normal care, no. Turn the garment inside out, wash cool, and skip the dryer when you can. Heat and abrasion are what wear any print down. Sew-on backing also keeps the patch from lifting at the edges after repeated washes.
What's the difference between screen printed and silk screen patches?
Nothing, in practice. Silk screen is the older name, from when the mesh was made of silk. Today the screen is synthetic, but the process is the same: a stencil blocks part of the mesh and ink is pushed through the open areas. Custom silkscreen patches and screen print patches are one product.
Can I see the mock-up of my custom screen printed patches before I make a payment?
Yes. You can submit the order without payment by selecting the See Design Pay Later option during checkout. The digital proof of your custom screen printed patches will be sent to you within 30 minutes for approval. Once approved, the order will move into production.
